Great Service, Not so Clean
The staff was friendly and they even had free popcorn and punch in the lobby one day. However, the room wasn’t as clean as I would like it to be - it didn’t feel fresh and I found hairs and dust everywhere in the bathroom when I walked in. So if you can look past the dirt, this was a great hotel. They also provide free shuttle service to areas of downtown.

Great for the pric
While not in the hustle and bustle of Beale Street, this is a safe, clean place to stay in Memphis. The staff were all extremely helpful and nice. Yes, the elevators are slow when there is a crowd, and the bar closes way too early for Memphis, but the rooms are clean and comfortable and the place is very quiet. If you are going strictly to party on Beale, stay elsewhere, but if that is only one of the things you plan to do in this wonderful city, then this is a great option. It’s clear they read these reviews and act on the things that aren’t working.

good enough
at best the place was ok. upon first glance it appeared to be a nice hotel but once you looked a little harder it was obviously just another run of the mill hotel. the finishing was laughable with wall paper peeling away and base moulding just slapped in place. the restaurant ran out of steak & one of the waitresses forgot to bring a diet pepsi 3 times while we were eating. the only real upside to the hotel is the free internet & the courtious & helpful bell staff. the location is decent but not within walking distance of beale street. again, all in all, just ok.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
it’s memphis so graceland has to be on the list but also make sure to check out Sun Studio where all the greats got their start.
