Hotel needs more work!

The fact that the building is being renovated detracted from our enjoyment of the hotel. The first night we were without hot water for a time. However, the free parking, continental breakfast, and cleanliness of our room made up for any inconveniences we endured. There were only about a dozen people using the hotel at the same time we were there, and only three floors out of the ten seemed to be in use. For us, the price was right and the convenient location made it worthwhile for us to use the hotel.

The best time to go to Corpus Christi is after Labor Day when all the summer vacationers are back home. Prices go down and places are not crowded. It seemed that we got more attention wherever we went.

Will Vary Depending on Expectations

I would rate this hotel a 2 star at best. Depending on your expectations, this hotel may or may not be the right pick for you. If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel that is in close proximity to everything with limited anemities then this might be the place for you. However, if you are looking for a hotel with first class luxuries, and facilities, then you should definitely keep looking elsewhere. I spent two nights here becuse I was in town on business. I did not spend much time at the hotel, other that just to sleep. The hotel was close to everything, but did not have the anemities I would have been looking for if I was here on leisure. The only positive thing I would say is that the high speed internet in the room always worked. However, the facilities are in need of serious renovation. The pool was in bad shape, there is no fitness center, as described in the hotel information section, the building is very old, the rooms were very old, there is no restaurant in the hotel, and the parking garage is in very bad shape. However, the rooms did have what I needed for my business trip. For Example, a refirgerator, a microwave, high speed internet, and a bed to sleep on. However, there was not hardly any outlets to charge my phone or computer. I had to find one working outlet and use my own splitters (adapter) to have more than one thing to use at a time. In conclusion, I probably would not stay at this hotel again.

I used to live in CC and am shocked at how the new owners have let this hotel run straight into the ground. There is construction in the lobby, but never saw anyone actually working on it. wall molding in the room was coming off the walls, a roach ran across my bed...what else is there to say!
