nice hotel ...parking nightmare
staff very friendly and room clean and well appointed. parking is a major issue. never any spaces available in lot in front of hotel. they do provide off-site parking a block from the hotel in a small parking garage which is not very truck / suv friendly.

ok for busy august and south location of virginia beach.
the location of the hotel is ideal if you plan on staying at the beach and use the boardwalk. the southern location of virginia beach is not as luxurious as the north. the hotel service was excellent. the toilet made funny noise after use and plugged easily. that was a downer for room. if i were to do it again i would stay at the north portion of virginia beach like the marriott north(didnt know there were two) or the higher end nothern hotels( likely more expensive for oceanfront). i think i would avoid august time at vb due to extreme traffic. zoo is mediocre at this time lots of sites under construction.
