Very impressed
Service wasnt five star but the location, the rooms and the amenities compensated for the lack of good service.
You have to Dine at the St Regis restaurant, its been endorsed by one of the best French chefs.

Great stay
We had a great 4 day stay at the St. Regis. We have stayed at many of the luxury collection hotels in the past and have always been pleased. We got a wonderful room for a great price, especially considering we were staying at a 5 star hotel. The service was impeccable. The greeters and doormen knew us by name. The hotel is very convenient to the subway system but at night, if you have no sense of direction and get lost easily, it can be a little scary because DC has so many homeless people...everywhere. The location was very convenient to all the tourist attractions. It would have been even better if it hadnt rained our entire stay. We would definitely consider staying here again if we were to visit dc again.
Went to a wonderful restaurant during our stay...DC Coast. Wonderful food and ambiance.

Great location near the White House
The hotel was amazing, and the location couldnt be better. The restaurant service, however, was horrific. We went for breakfast on our first day, waited for ever for service although it was pretty empty. When the bill came, they charges us a large party fee, (there were 6 of us) of almost $40.00. the breakfast bill was stagering and the food nothing to write home about. When we asked to speak to the manager, the feloow that was supposed to be tending our table said he was the manager; that was the end of that!!! Other than that, the hotel and the staff were great.
