Pleasant surprise
After our last trip to Atlanta resulting in a HORRIBLE hotel stay (Sun Suites/Gwinnett off of Steve Reynolds - HIGHLY advise everyone to go elsewhere, this place is AWFUL), we had very low expectations for any extended stay hotel we picked. Candlewood Suites was a lovely surprise. First off they actually had all of the cookware we needed in the kitchen, we didn’t have to go buy anything - nice change from the last hotel. The room was larger than expected, and very modern (VCR/DVD combo included with TV - no rental required). We took our dog with us, and they had a special "pet resume" for us to fill out for her with all emergency info for her while we were out of the room. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. There’s a convenience store on the ground floor of the hotel with pretty much everything you’d need: food, drinks, snacks, desserts, medicine, etc, etc, etc. I could go on and on about all of the things that impressed us at this place... especially with the price we paid. Without a doubt we will stay at Candlewood Suites every time we go back, and plan on trying them out in different cities as well.
