Great Location BUT rooms need to be renovated.
This hotel is a great location. The rooms have excellent views of the water. But, the rooms are very old and are in need of total overhaul. Pink wallpaper falling off the walls. Draperies need to be refreshed. Bathrooms, towels and bedding were OK.

Will definitely stay there again!
This hotel was great! We had a room on the Potomac side, and after a long day of walking, it was so relaxing to sit on our balcony & watch the boats coming in & out. We saw Marine 1 fly over twice! The hotel is in reasonable walking distance to the main sites you want to see, and also close to a Metro station.
The onsite restaurant is somewhat pricey, so for a family you need to consider other area alternatives.

Do not check in after 10 pm
The place has a bar/lounge, which offers "entertainment" on weekend nights. We walked into a lobby full of drunk people. The first room they gave us, someone had already slept in the bed, and the electricity did not work. We had to go back down to the lobby full of drunk people to get yet another room. If you can limit your comings and goings to daylight, the room itself was immaculately clean, and it was very quiet. The hotel lobby needs some significant updating, but overall the staff is nice.
