Needs an update

Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. Beds are very comfortable. Our bathroom shower rod fell off the wall, the toilet paper holder was out of the wall, no tissue paper, no coffee pot. But, the staff was more than helpful, gaves us a new coffee pot.

Is customer service EXTRA?

We went to the restaurant The server was very slow, everyone working there looked miserable. I had to ask what happend to daughters food. The deserts were awful. They must have been those frozen desserts that come from a food distributor. They look good but taste like crap. I had to stop the server to ask for a doggie bag. You would think that would be a clue that we were ready to leave. We finally went to the register to pay. My husband told the hostess that he was fed up with the wait and this was piss poor service. She proceeded to give the I’m so sorry lip service Then she tells us that if we were in such a hurry we should have told them. No, we were not in a hurry but thought that decent customer service was not too much to ask for. She then told us that we should have gone to MCDonalds. There was trash sitting out by the play ground for three days. The pool had hairs floating around in it every day. There was mold in the tub.

With all the motels to choose from and prices I will never stay here again... plain and simple... rip off.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel. Hotel is old, could use some updates. Also balcony is too small to sit outside. The outside deck & bar is nice

The hotel was very nice though I thought it was closer to the boardwalk. I would reccomend it though. I would come back as well if I was going to ocean city again.

terrible!

we had to switch rooms because the air conditioner was broken AND the shower wouldnt turn hot bc the faucet was broken. the ocean view was a joke. You had to stick your head out of the "balcony" and look behind the hotel. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!

Wonderful Place to Stay

I go every year for a convention, and this is a wonderful place to stay. I try my best to make sure that I get a room here for it. Nice rooms, very friendly staff, pet friendly, would stay again.

Go to Super Fresh (or Fresh Foods) down by the Gold Coast Mall for Salt Water Taffy. They sell 2 boxes for either 6 or 7 dollars vs. the $7.50/box on the boardwalk.

clean and comfy..just don’t bring your obnoxiously lazy/messy friend with you like I did.

great place to stay

my stay was to short, but my party enjoyed the hotel. my daughter and friend were glad to have the new pool. the hotel has several exciting things going on. the only issue was too many pets.

Hotel Review

Clean comfortable room. Price reasonable for 2 day stay (hope it stays reasonable for rest of summer). 7 year old grand-daughter enjoyed view of the indoor pool and seeing people at the out-door pool. She is already asking when she’s going back to the hotel? Would stay there again and recommend to friends to stay there also.

i was ther at 1pm.Do not get in the room intil 4:15pm The people they work there doesn’t how to run the place!

Everything was ok, prices a little high but they take pets. Could have complementary breakfast, for the price.

pet lovers’ haven

We had a wonderful time here. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They even welcomed our two dogs and made our stay very relaxed and comfortable.

If you travel with pets, this is the place to be. There is a pet station outdoors, and they only ask that you leave your cell phone number in case of a problem if you want to leave your pet in your room.

Great Experience

Visited OC week of 8/10. Changed hotels before arriving due to unfavorable reviews at the hotel oringally booked. Could not have been happier with our choice to stay at Clarion. The roome was clean when we arrived, and housekeeping did a fantastic job everyday. The entire staff, from housekeeping to restaurants, were helpful, cheerful and pleasant. Would defintely recommend this hotel!

The bar/restaurant in the hotel (name escapes me) was wonderful. My husband who has visited OC since he was 12 and even lived there, said crab cakes were the best he’s had!

Nice hotel

This hotel was nice. The staff was friendly, the pool and bar were nice. The buffet was great. The room was clean. I do recommend this hotel. It’s nothing fantastic, but would go back.

A nice beach hotel in crowded Ocean City

The Clarion in Ocean City was a fine place to spend a beach vacation, if you don’t mind a big-hotel experience on the beach. (It’s crowded in Ocean City and the Clarion doesn’t give you respite from that.) The Clarion is pretty far from the boardwalk, but a bit cheaper because of that. The public bus runs parallel with the ocean and costs $2/person/day. We enjoyed the convenience of the bar/restaurant that was near the pool and the beach. It was great for a mid-day refreshment. Only minor point is that the landscaping and tables and chairs along the beach side was run-down and overgrown.

Very nice for the price but needs updating.

It’s a nice hotel. But you can tell it is a bit old. It could use some renovations. But I found it to be clean. Last time, I was in Ocean city, I stayed at the Bay Princess. It was cheap and horrible. The Clarion was soooo much better. The Buffet breakfast was great. We also had dinner at Horizons and it was excellent. The outside bar (Lenny’s?) is good for a fun, fast lunch... Featuring a live band. The pool is kind of small and indoors. I would say our overall experience was good. It’s moderately priced... worth the money.

Would use again

I have not stayed in many hotels but for me this hotel was of good quality. The room was clean except for the shower walls had an odd color. Towels and the bedding were all very clean. The bed themselves were pretty comfortable. The workers in the hotel were pretty nice. There were only three things that stopped me from giving this room a higher rating. Our room was described as an oceanview. The patio faced half the highway and half the ocean. You could still get a pretty good view of the ocean though. The hotel was pretty pricey. And the third thing is that the elevators always took a long time to reach you. Besides that though I would definitely use this hotel again.

There is in inside pool but it seems to be usually filled with a bunch of kids. Take advantage of the beach being right in your backyard and dont count on enjoying the pool much.

Unhappy in Ocean City

Dirty rooms, cable went out for 2 days, power went out for three hours at night.
