Nice hotel
Stayed here a couple of nights. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The staff was helpful although they seemed to be short staffed at times because we had to wait awhile for drinks in the bar area.

Don’t let the exterior fool you....
We stayed here one night during our Scotland trip. When we were driving up, we about had a heart attack at how old and gross the exterior looked thinking "what on earth have we done?!". The inside and rooms are very nice and refreshing. The staff was a little aloof to our calls and not at the desk whenever we stopped by. The breakfast was good, but not free, so be prepared to pay 10-13 pounds for it.
Traveler's tip on dining
As a tip, there is a Tesco near by (like a Walmart but MUCH better). Find it in your GPS or ask the front desk (if they are there...). Also, several family run resturants near by.
