One of the Best Business Hotels in Beijing, But Not for Tourists
Simply put, this is one of the best BUSINESS hotel in Beijing with great rooms and excellent services. You could not go wrong with this hotel if your local activities are arranged by your Chinese partners/friends. However, it is not the best hotel for tourists because of following reasons: (1) Nothing is within walking distance. There are just too many top-caliber hotels to choose from if you come to Beijing just for a vacation. (2) Nine out of ten taxi drivers don’t know the hotel location--you have to zig-zag through the concrete forest to reach the back (south side) of the building for hotel entrance. The hotel has been open for a year, but the construction of the front gate has not been finished. (3) Lobby is small and unimpressive; and not a good place for meeting friends or for people watch.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
China Bar in the 65th floor is amazing with incredible view. XIU bar in the 6th floor is not bad either, with lots of young people.
