Fab.... bring your Bicycle

Enjoy the view but you must bring your bathing suit for the hot tubs with the flaming wall... Dont forget to use the great robes in the closet. Try the sirloin steak for dinner. Best Ive ever had.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

You must walk thru the betty ford gardens... Astounding and very romantic.

First Class

This is a classy hotel. There is a walkway that connects this resort with Lionshead Village and Vail Village as well. Our trip was most enjoyable.

Touch of Europe,,Can’t go wrong with this hotel

Very nice hotel, exterior, pool areas, bar/restaurant and lobby are 5 star. Hallways, rooms and baths (tired) are 3-4 star and ready for updates,,some in progress. A heads up, NOT a warning.. The staff was great and faxed docs at NC.. Hotel is located along a trail next to a creek that is both beautiful and convenient to walk to Lionshead and Vail Village.

Great location and convenience.

The hotel has access to lift #20, right outside the ski-shop/ concierge. Ticket office right there. No lift line. Easy to get up on the mountain and get skiing. Loved the concierge service. Rooms were smallish, but still comfortable. 2 hot tubs and heated pool at the hotel, and another "saline" hot tub at the spa which connects to the hotel. Massage at the Spa was excellent. Great place to stay at Vail, with many conveniences. Shuttle service all day, til midnight, if you want to go into Lionshead or Vail Village.

Traveler's tip on dining

The Tap Room and Red Lion in Vail village have great food and beer at reasonable prices. I was quite impressed with the tuna appetizer at the Tap Room. These places are bar / restaurants, so there is often some entertainment as well. The Lancelot really does have one of the best prime ribs I have ever cut into. The food at "Billy’s Island Grill" in Lionshead was average, for above average prices.

Great, affordable place

I would definitely recommend this resort and stay here again. The hotel was clean, efficient and affordable given it’s location. it’s nice enough to have a bunch of bells and whistles, like a spa and really good restaurant (get the pork chop), but not over-the-top. the rooms are very tasteful and good sized, and the ski concierge is nice. you are all the way on one side of the mountain, so getting to mid-vail, the bowls and vail valley can take a while if you’re a die-hard skier. the only negative i can think of is having to take a shuttle to get to the valley to eat, but even that’s extremely efficient. This place is definitely worth it!

Amazing location! only chairlift ski/ski out

I am a single mom and went alone. This place was perfect. First the chairlift made it so easy. I meet so many nice people at the hotel. The spa was great and everything worked out perfect. They had everything ready for me upon arrival even my room was given to me early. I can’t wait to go back. Awesome experience.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Fly into Eagle and you only 30 min. for hotel, get your tix ahead a time and you can be on the slopes within hours.

Perfect Location

The Vail Cascade Resort and Spa turned out to be a great location in Vail. With the ski lift just out the back door, it was so easy to rent skis and get on the lift which connects to all other ski areas. The shuttle service was wonderful with free rides to Lionshead and Vail Village. We even connected with a bus to Beaver Creek for a day of skiing. The hotel was beautiful....the bar was great and the restaurant food was excellent. A great experience all around!

Incredible resort....10 stars!

An incredible resort. One of, if not THE best place to stay in Vail. Friendly and efficient staff and concierge service with all the amenities and luxury one could ask for.

Early Season Trip

There was some construction going on but they accomidated us well and the noise never was bothersome in our room or in the bar. I would stay here again.

Under Construction

Will be a nice place to stay when the construction is complete, but the place was a mess when I stayed there. Double check before you go.

Great hotel - but under construction

We had a very nice stay in July 2008 - however, many parts of the hotel were under construction. As a result, the HVAC did not seem to be working well, the gorgeous swimming pool we remembered (part of the reason we wanted to go) was torn apart, and the spa had major construction going on. I am sure that the low price we paid took into account the construction, but at no time were we advised of the construction (when talking to the hotel prior to booking or when booking on Expedia). We were not pleasantly surprised. But we are looking forward to future trips when the construction is completed.

Hidden Cost

The hotel is nice, but it would have been nice to have known in advance that there is a $15 self parking fee per night or a valet parking fee of $25 per night. They also put a hold on your debit or credit card which doesn’t come off for 5 days after you leave. The bed was very comfortable and the scenery was beautiful!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Black Hawk is about 1 hour 15 minutes away where you can gamble at one of the casinos. We go to Nellies; very laid back where they have 2 deck black jack up stairs...$5 max. bet per hand, but you can play up to 4 hands (you can double down)

Not bad, could be better

The Hotel was nice but not great. The room seemed small. The spa was nice but the shower area was old, the hot tub was missing a lot of grout and tile look old. You are a bit out of the way from the action, you have to shuttle it to Lions Head and Vail Village which is where the bars, shopping and food is. It is ski in ski out, but that is only nice if you already know how to ski well, the mountain is very steep there, mostly black runs. So if you are going to take lessons then you have to shuttle it to Lions Head. If you are learning the best deal is in Lions Head (vail ski school) for $260 you get three full days of lessons and all your rentals. That is a great deal becasue a lift pass is $90 a day on it’s own.

Not impressed

For a 4 star resort this place leaves allot to be desired. Our luggage sat out in front of the hotel for 45 minutes until we called to inquire. At one point they told us we had to change rooms due to a leak only to call after we had already packed our bags to say that it was all a mistake. If it was not for the great ski in ski out convenience this palce would not be worth it at all.

Great Vacation

The hotel was fabulous. It was very warm and welcoming. The concierge was extremely helpful with suggestions and making necessary dinner reservations. The new "Marketplace" was an added plus. It offered every amenity. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We were two adults with two teenagers and the room was a very nice size.

Very Nice Hotel

For the most part, the hotel was excellent. The employees were very responsive and helpful. The only trouble we had was regulating the temperature of the room for comfort. It was mostly hot and the balcony door had to stay open.

Great place

The hotel was excellent. I ordered a room with a king and when arriving found that my room had two queens. I called down to the front desk and within 5 minutes the bellman was in my room moving my stuff to a room with a king. The service was excellent after that fact.

This is a beautiful hotel. We had a room with a balcony that looked out to the mountains. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The shuttle service was convenient and made it easy to get around Vail. We had no complaints!!
