Felt pampered
This was a really nice hotel! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful (which you sometimes dont find at nice places). We stayed there since we were visiting Universal Studios. It was super close with free shuttle and loved the City Walk with lots of restaurants and shops just outside Universal Studios park. Loved the view! We took a taxi ($20 R/T) to CBS Studios to watch the taping of "Accidentally On Purpose" with Gena Elfman. We got these free tickets from Audiences Unlimited online. We really fun, but the taping was 4 hours of sitting. We were really tired when we left. Was first visit to LA and this made it very special! We stayed 2 nights and then left for a cruise. Sadly the taxi cost $100 getting from this hotel to the cruise terminal. But we really enjoyed our stay!
The hotel offered mainly expensive buffets. We just ordered off the menu one day and it was very good but would recommend the free shuttle to City Walk for a BIG variety of restaurants. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Nice hotel, great room.
Great room, great view. Convenient to Hollywood & West Hollywood. The breakfast buffett in the restaurant had a lot of choices, but wasonly OK in quality of the food.

Traveler's tip on local attractions
Shuttles run pretty regular to Universal Studios but theres only a short walk down and its a little steep, so wear comfortable shoes if you plan on walking.
