Nice, but not perfect
Royal Suites Turquesa was a very nice resort - very clean and well maintained. I wasn’t impressed by the service (it took two days and three requests of our "butler" to restock the in-room refrigerator) but overall, everyone was very nice and helpful.

Will return
From the moment we arrived we were overwhelmed by the friendly service and beauty of the hotel. The variety and Quality of food was good. We really enjoyed the beach area where we spent most of our time (they have food and drink service there). The employees were exceptionaly wondeful and catered to our every need. we had very little trouble with language, there was always someone who could translate if needed. We will definetly return!
Traveler's tip on shopping
We tried the beach shops and the small ones in town. Too expensive and high pressure. There is a big mall with name brands but just like any big city stores. Shops on site were the best.

Resort was beautiful, but didn’t quite meet the mark.
The resort itself was beautiful and our view from the room was very nice. We had a view of the ocean and the pool. Our room was nice, however, the air conditioning was not working properly starting the first day we arrived and it was very warm in our room. Someone came to try and repair it that evening, but it still didn’t work, so another person came the next morning and he made it a tad better, however it still was not very cool in our room throughout our stay. So, we had to call about that quite a few times, as well as a light being out over the sink. Also, we had to call several times about our assigned butler not making the dinner reservationss that we had asked her to make. She just left and didn’t make sure that our reservation was confirmed, and the butler on the next day did the same thing, leaving a third butler with the responsibility of getting it done. He did finally help us, but it was after numerous phone calls from us. It was absolutely ridiculous! We have never called guest services so much in one vacation as we did at this hotel. Another thing that we weren’t too happy with was the shops on the resort. They didn’t have enough of a variety of shops. Only a small strip of stores with not enough souveniers. The food was pretty good. Especially the Brazillian restaurant. All in all, we probably won’t return to this hotel.
