Best Hotel of our Vacation

My wife and I were very impressed with the front desk staff, the room decor and the cleanest room of any of six hotels we stayed in. The only thing that wasn’t the best of, was the breakfast and it was number two. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Great combination of price and value.

definately returning in the future

hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient to most everything. staff was very friendly and accomodating. breakfast was an added bonus. good food and well maintained.

reasonalbely priced hotel

we were there to visit family so we were up late and slept in in the morning. Breakfast either was over or there was very little left to choose from. so we had to go to I HOP down the road and pay for breakfast. other then that everything was great loved the coffee in the room. and the housekeepers were very quiet in the halls never knew theywere around.

It was very clean. The desk clerk was very friendly. Hotel has all the amenities for business traveler as well as family traveler. I would recommend this hotel. Breakfast buffet was as good as all the others offered by hotels. A great value.

Nice, clean hotel with good service

We traveled over 1000 miles, to visit VSU.And some of the hotels along the road were terrible, but we extremely satsified with Wingate. It was convient to the highway without the highway noise. And the staff were very friendly, I would stay again with them without hesitation.

Will stay here again if we need a hotel room.

We’ve stayed at a few hotels in valdosta as we shopped for a home. This is by far the best one we have stayed in. All the staff was very polite and asked how we were doing. The beds were very comfy and the furnishings were homey. They did not have a hotel look to them at all. Breakfast was nice as well. Typical hot breakfast food, but the room was neat and clean and the food was fresh.

Over all a great place to stay. My only complaint was that the hot tub was dirty and the room where it was was out of fresh towels, but used ones were laying around everywhere. My room was beautiful, clean and quiet... exactly what I was hoping it would be. Breakfast was well set up and delicious.

Valdosta bargain

Clean. Easy access from I-75. Quiet. rooms are good size and well furnished.

Great place to stay

The Wingate is a very nice place to stay. The hotel was very clean and in great condition. This was my second time staying at the Wingate and I can’t wait to go back.

Great Southern Hospitality!

My husband and I were so pleased with our stay, we kept extending our stay! The room is large, the bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a good selection to choose from. We were amazed at how friendly and warm the staff was.

Traveler's tip on dining

Be sure to bring doggy bags back to the room. We nibbled at night on some really good southern cooked meals!

Nice but noisy

This is a top-notch hotel in every way except noise during the night. It’s right on the interstate and the windows don’t block the traffic noise very well. You can’t mask the noise with the air conditioner because the a/c fan runs only when the compressor kicks in, which is probably why the thermostat was down to 50 degrees when I checked in. I expected more quiet for the money charged.

Pretty Good

The hotel was very nice and clean. Beautiful bathrooms! When I stayed, the cable was out due to a local storm and was never restored. Thank God for "free view" on the PPV section-although pretty boring. The workout area is nice, but small. The hotel was extremely busy at breakfast time and they had trouble refilling the hot food. I gave up and had oatmeal in the room. Thank goodness for the in-room microwave and coffee maker! One plus was the free high-speed internet access with the 2 computers in the business room. Again, great on a night there was no cable! Overall it was very nice. I would and will stay there again.

Very disappointed

My husband and I were given Room #203 for a one-night stay on the road to Florida. Exhausted after a day’s travel, I was forced to sleep on the couch because the laundry room directly beneath our room functioned all night and neither of us got any sleep. The management, when informed the next day, allowed no discount.

If you stay here, make sure the location of your room is not above all night activities.

Excellent choice

My wife and I and our 2 children had an excellent stay at the Wingate. The rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel employees are friendly and helpful. A great place to stop on your way into Florida.

Perfect pitstop on the way to Atlanta!

We had a 7-hour drive to make from the Orlando area to the Atlanta area. This was the perfect half-way point! Beautiful hotel, right off I-75, very clean, yummy breakfast is included. Everyone was very accommodating. Lots of Southern hospitality. If you need a place to stop on the way to Florida or up north, this place is the best.

Excellent hotel--would go back in a heartbeat!

Such a great value--perfect location--oversized room with two queen beds was unbelievable; plenty of room for family of 4 to move around and be comfortable; one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in!

Stayed here on the way home from DisneyWorld to KY...good pit stop along the way.

Happy Stay

Everyone was pleasant. Room was great! I was accidently double charged but it was taken care of in a fairly timely manner.

Very nice staff and hotel

Have stayed at several hotels in the area when visiting my daughter at VSU. This hotel had the best price for the accomdations. Infact I got a king suite for less than most of the other hotels in the area charge for a basic room. The room was very clean and the beds are comfortable. My next trip to visit my daughter I will definately plan to stay at the the Wingate again.
