Great hotel - scarey location
Hotel and staff were GREAT BUT the area was not nice at all and boarder line un-safe. If you don’t mind stay in a sketchy neighborhood than stay here as it was the most clean and comfortable hotel I have every stayed at.

We enjoyed our two night stay once they changed our room......
We enjoyed half of our stay at this hotel but would like to offer a couple of observations. The hotel is located in the historic district. This area is wild and crazy but the hotel is an oasis. The hotel is quite nice and quiet as well. We were give a huge room (the handicap accessible room) on the 4th floor but were constantly awakened with what sounded like a plumbing problem with air in very old pipes. (we have a historic home) By 1:30 am I had had it and went down to the desk. We were not given a new room until the next day and finally had a comfortable and quiet night’s sleep. The hotel is very nice, the staff was knowledgable and courteous, and the breakfast pretty good. I’d like to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt about the noise problem in room 406 but I have a feeling my complaint was not new. No one acted very suprised when I stood at the front desk and made loud moaning noises to imitate the sound that I heard every 15 minutes or so.....

A comfortable oasis
We really enjoyed the hotel. We had the smallest double room, but it was very comfortable. The bathroom was really nice - lots of marble and a rainfall shower. Breakfast was great -- eggs, sausage, cheeses, smoked meats, and pastries. Minor negatives -- breakfast room was very small and tables too close together, staff didn’t offer to help with bags on arrival, a few tiny ants in the room.
