Nice and comfortable place, but not impressed by the location
I was recently in Vienna for a meeting. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to the Messe Wien, which for the cost of the room is a big plus, also relatively close to the United Nations site, and very close to the Danube river. Downtown is about 5 minutes using the subway,k as well as the Museum Quartier. It is located in a quiet location (extremely quiet and almost scary at night). Personnel is helpful in general, one of the night shift attendandts was not very helpful although very kind, since by mistake they charged my credit card twice, which was returned uneventfully very fast after I found about it and complained .The breakfast (buffet) was good but expensive (15 + euro) and was not included in my reservation. There is a U station very close (approx 2 blocks) and a bus stop (11-A) half a block away from the hotel entrance, which takes you to the Messe and another U station. Not so many options to dine around, but not far from downtown, where you will find plenty of options. Safety: I felt very safe most of the time during the day, but would not recommend to walk around late at night. Overall, a good option if you do not want to spend a lot of money and be conveniently located within the center districts of the city.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Do not ask the front attendants to get a taxi for you, since they overcharge. A one way trip from the Airport to the hotel costed about 30 euro, using the local companies at the airport and the taxi drivers contacted through the hotel charged me 40 euro to take me back to the airport. Alternatively, unless you have too much luggage you could walk one block towards the U station, where you will find a 24/7 taxi service site and save at least 10 euro for the ride to the airport.

Good selection for Vienna, despite unfriendly reception people
Nice modern hotel much better priced than most of their competition in this city, with the advantage of being located about an 8 minute walk from a clean, safe underground service which will have you in the heart of Vienna in no time (4 stops). My only complain had to do with having no air conditioning , only a wind fan (good enough) which inexplicably was taken by house cleaning from my room the third night of my stay and a reception woman who refused to give it back !. Only after much bitter discussion did she relent but it is unfortunate that people at this hotel’s desk would be, (generally speaking) so unfriendly which really hurt my opinion of this (otherwise) nice hotel.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you’re staying more than 72 hours, be sure to buy the Vienna Card (greatly priced in EXPEDIA). You will save a ton of money on the underground and get better prices in most great attractions which you will actually use.

Very kid friendly
We were nervous about going to a conference where we both had several presentations with our 4-year old. This concern grew after we noticed that many hotels in Vienna do not accept children under 18 (pretty strange). But the Trend hotel was very kid friendly and there were other families there during our stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay here any time I visit Vienna.
Traveler's tip on dining
There is a great Doner Kebab stand right near the Vorgartenstrasse subway stop. It is good food for a reasonable price.
