Great deal on a Pittsburgh hotel
The hotel staff was wonderful. My room key stopped working two separate times. They had no problem rescanning it and even walked me to my room to make sure it worked so I would not be stranded. The second time, the girl suggested it may be my cell phone that was demagnetizing it. It did not happen again after I moved my phone. Also, our remote did not work to order in room movies and our 3 year-old was looking forward to this. They had the remote fixed by the time we got back from dinner. One thing to watch out for, this hotel lists that it has a free continental breakfast. However, if the hotel is sold out the night you are there...there is no free breakfast. They open the hotels restaraunt and serve a buffet breakfast for a fee. Rooms were okay and basically clean, but I didnt expect perfection for the price.
Blinkys was an awesome place to eat. The smoking bar part is totally separated (by a glass wall and glass doors...like two separate store fronts) from the dining area. The staff was wonderful as was the food and the prices. They have bar eats and traditional dinners. It is also convenient that the plaze it is in has a liquor store and a pharmacy so if you need to pick anything up to take back to the hotel that you forgot to pack (toothbrush, wine) it is convenient.
