Spectacular Views, Mediocre Room For the Price
CONS - Old furnishings, ant problems, mediocre breakfast and hotel was hard to find. Chair rental on pebble beach ridiculously expensive. PROS - Staff was very nice, the ant problem was resolved once we raised it, A/C and a safe in the room - comfortable beds. The views from our room were spectacular
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Go to one of the many grocery stores, get some fresh bread, cheese, olives, peppers, etc.. and some wine. The restaurants in Positano all seem to be priced similarly (high!) - some good restaurants, some bad. We ate at il fornillo the first night, and found bones in the fish. Beware the scampi, which was too salty to eat (and we LOVE salt)
