The concierge sucks....
Their business centre was on the blink and I asked where the nearest Internet Cafe was. They directed me to Fedex Kinkos which is fine but.....this was a Saturday and the store was closed on week ends. Nice try. I had asked for an extra night saty and they asked me to come down and leave my credit card imprint as a "deposit". I had already sent all the details for the 7 nights stay via your agency....really felt trusted....
Traveler's tip
good location, close to subway/train station

Better than I expected
Our family of 15 stayed at the hotel twice on our vacation (we went to a different city for 2 nights). The first time we stayed at the Shiba Park Hotel the rooms was older but still nice. One of our family members experienced a dysfunctional air conditioner and reported it to the hotel. They came out to do a quick fix but when asked to come back again, they didnt. It wasnt until my cousin went to the front desk and said it was unacceptable (she had a one, three and five year old in that room) and that she expected compensation, they came out and fixed the whole unit. The 2nd time we stayed (for 6 nights) our room had been renovated and really nice! I expected the rooms to be small like the rooms at a boutique hotel in NYC but Shiba Parks rooms were much, much larger. There was ample room to walk around especially for families with children. The bathrooms were small but fine. The hotel staff all spoke english and were very friendly but when another family member inquired about staying a few more nights at the hotel, the manager was very rude. My relative ended up staying at another Hotel. What had been a great experience at the hotel thus far had unfortunately been overshadowed by the managers rudeness in the end.
The hotel is minutes away from 2 subway stations (Daimon & Onarimon) and about a 10 minute walk to the Hamamatscho train station which both have nearby playgrounds for the kids. The hotel restaurants are pricey so may want to pick up some pastries from one of the local shops (or McDonalds) and feed your kids in the room for breakfast. Also, bring a small stroller (one of those fold up umbrella strollers) if you can - there is a lot of walking involved. Renting a stroller is costly.

Nothing fancy but courteous staff and clean hotel and rooms.
This hotel was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but seems to be the case everywhere in Japan, the staff are extremely courteous and helpful. Close to subway stations and within walking distance of several sights (Zojoji temple, Tokyo tower).
