When we arrived at the hotel we found that the parking garage had been condemned. The restaraurant and bar had been closed down. The place is very old, the elevators are slow and smell. The room was clean but the beds were horrible! Bed springs were diggging into my back all night. I will not stay here again!

The hotel is perfect for our needs. The hotel is an older hotel, but it was very clean and especially quiet. We were pleased that the dining room was open for a complimentary breakfast buffet every morning.After using the gym, We could walk right over to the IHOP across the street. The pool was great for our 14 year old daughter, and with direct access to a really nice beach, we couldnt ask for more. There was a "rinse off" area pool side which came in handy when going from the sandy beach to the pool. It was disappointing that the lounge/bar was not open any of the time we were there, but no worries. The hotel seemed to always be run by the same few people, but the service never suffered. Be prepared for a daily parking fee and a safe fee. The safe fee is able to be removed if you alert them before checkout that you did not use it. Overall, a great place to be with a great pool and great beach. Kudos to Jessica and Willie,we’ll see you again soon!

Surfside - old as the hills
This hotel is OLD. And it shows everywhere. From the smell when you walk in the lobby to the door hinges that were missing screws causing the door to rub and be hard to open when going on the balcony. ABC was the only national T.V. station,( no CBS NBC FOX). The elevators were old and had a bad odor. The cups in our room were plain white styrofoam not covered in plastic (unsanitary). We turned down the first room.It had a big gap under the door going onto the balcony where bugs could come in.
