They couln’t get it together

Checked n 1st room, floor drenched with water probably from the A/C. Moved us to room 2, room was totally trashed. Moved us to 4th room, remote did not work. We exchanged it 3 times they finally moved us again. Gave us 4 comp drink passes, neither one of us drink.

Great hotel

Really enjoyed my stay at Radisson Largo. Loved the design of the room; the bed was extremely comfortable: the kind of bed you want to get a running start and jump into. The staff were really helpful and very congenial. The gym or ’exercise room’ needs a little work (some weights would be nice), but overall great hotel.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If you don’t want to go into DC for dinner, try the local shopping center (ask the front desk for directions); there are several restaurants there that specialize in Southern cooking and there’s a great Jamaican take-out place. Spicy though!

Worth the trip

From the front desk clerk to the gentleman driving the shuttle, everyone was very friendly and very helpful. Our family of 4 had a great time while visiting DC for the first time. The shuttle took us to the train station and picked us up with no more than a 15 min wait. It was definitely an easy way to see DC. After a long day site seeing we came back and played in the pool, ordered take out and settled in for the evening. The price of the hotel made it very economical for a family on a budget to vacation. Would definitely go back again! The only downfall was they did not offer a complimentary continental breakfast. The price for the breakfast buffet in the downstairs restaurant was kind of high for a family.

Good choice for a Washington visit

We booked a room at the Radisson Largo for a 3 night Washington visit. The hotel is located at the end of the Blue Line-Washington Metro. From the Mall, the subway trip takes about half an hour. The hotel runs a shuttle to and from the Metro station and locations within 5 miles of the hotel which meant that no car was needed-just call the hotel for a pick-up. (301) 773-0700. The shuttle retires at 10:00 pm. The hotel is located in a quiet tree-lined cul-de-sac. There are restaurants within a 10 minute walk: Outback, Ruby Tuesdays and Jaspers (see below-stay away). You can also take the shuttle. I would absolutely recommend the Radisson Largo. The hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were spacious, spotless and all that a visitor would need. The bed was a Tempur-pedic dial-a-sleep number. Quite comfortable. There is a modest indoor pool and some treadmills in the fitness center. The staff was friendly and responsive to our few requests.It was an air-conditioned comfortable oasis for three hot and humid August days. The bar was pleasant but expensive. We did not try the restaurant. Taken all around, a great value for a slightly upscale experience.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Use the Metro for DC touring. An all-day pass cost $7.00 and the Metro goes everywhere. Stay away from Jaspers Restaurant.Remarkably crummy treatment at best.that seemed to be a part of the area’s culture. The Largo Town Center Mall is next to the Largo Metro Station. It has a movie theater, restaurants and a variety of shops. Go to Ben’s Chili Bowl in DC if you have a taste for chili dogs. Justifiably a Washington landmark and easily accessible using the Metro’s Green Line.

Positive Experience

Nice location and not far from Metro Center. Great to have shuttle service to the Metro. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient.

Washington Stay

We were extremely satisfied with the location and the hotel. Location for the metro was close and Baltimore and Washington were close. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. I would recommend for a nice stay.

Style and comfort

When we walked into the lobby and saw the updated, stylish furniture and decor there, we were pleased. When we walked into our room and saw that the same attention to detail and style had been carried through there as well we were even more pleased. This was our second stay in the Largo Radisson and we’ll stay there again whenever we’re in the area.

We enjoyed our stay

Our family weekend getaway was enjoyable. The hotel offered a quiet and peaceful place to relax. The onsite restaurant was an added benefit.

One of the best

Overall very nice and clean hotel. Only issue I had was with the cable tv. The cable was set-up to provide you with very limited channels.

Nice hotel in a so-so area

Loved the hotel facilities, but the clientele was "trashy", maybe in accordance with the neighborhood, which was isolated. The service at the hotel was poor and/or inattentive (eg, when I mentioned that the newspaper was not sent to my rom on day two, while it was delivered on day one, the hotel clerks "debated" with me whether I should have it or not, instead of just giving me one, a $50c "treat"). The breakfast buffet was poor, and at night, there were limited alternatives to eat. Finally, the new number beds are really uncomfortable, although the beds "look" very comfortable.

Drive the car to the subway ($4/day parking) instead of using the hotel shuttle, which is slow and runs only from 7am-10pm

Could have been a better experience

Overall the condition of the hotel was nice, but the rooms could use a little more maintenance. The shower was not cleaned daily. I did not like having to call for a hotel representative every time I went to the front desk. The representatives spent a lot of time in the room behind the desk. The one great thing about the hotel is the shuttle to the Metro Station was always prompt in drop off and pick up.

My kind of place to stay

I was very impressed from the moment I checked in. Each person that I had dealings with at the hotel (reception area, lounge/restaurant, housekeeping) was very professional, friendly, extremely helpful (had problem with WI-FI in room); persistence by the hotel manager to resolve problem, I was successful and able to use my laptop. I did use the business office computer that is available. I felt very safe in hotel; wedding and 2 family reunions were taking place weekend I was there. My return trips I plan to stay again. I didn’t use any public transport-ation (someone drove me to where ever I needed to go. My trip was planned around someone taking me around. I did notice that we were very close to the WA skins stadium; No one was loitering around outside/inside; guest was not loud. King bed/sleep no. mattress, microwave, fridge, desk, chase lounge,enjoyed it all. Don’t know how anyone could not be satisfied with accommoda-tions.

Would stay here again.

Both the hotel and staff were wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond in their helpfulness and friendliness. After two days it felt like we knew them all personally. Always in a good mood and smiling.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Using the hotel shuttle to the Metro Station is the way to go. Saves parking problems and the Metro people are helpful in getting you where you want to go.

It was the BOMB!!!! Centrally located to everything we wanted to do.

I was empressed with absolutely everything about this hotel. From the front desk help, to the great food. I even asked the bartender Make a drink that I made up. He made it better than me. my husband and I were having a moment. I’m sure we will have another at this hotel.

Nice facilities and great staff.

The facilities were really nice and the staff was very helpful with all our needs. Provided shuttle to the metro train station which was a great help to us in going to and from DC. I highly recommend this hotel.

Not impressed!!

Room was in disrepair. No room maid service for two nights. Could no supply towels fourth night. False fire alarm at 2:00 which staff could not reset for some time. TV came on twice during middle of the night. No remote in room. No "DO Not Disturb" card in room.

could have been better

I would stayed another night. But very disappointed. These were the things not working, the tv pay per preview, the auto mattress, one of the desk lamps.The night shift was not very helpful. The next day the day shift apologized and offer us free breakfast. I would visit again to give them another chance to redeem themself.

WOW!

The hotel was quite and very nice. The staff extremely helpful and professional. The area is perfect for light dining and for getting out of the city.

A few issues

Location is the plus of this hotel. At check-in, after 3pm, the agent told us no king rooms were available. Because I had a reservation, I waited for the manager and 15-20 minutes later I was checked into a king room. We requested additional glasses and were told that they do not provide them to guests. The thermostat wasn’t easily adjustable. The entry light wasn’t working. The space of the room was tight for two people.

Not impressed

Hotel was clean and in a good location. I was not impressed with their customer service. The chair in my room had a broken leg. I originaly asked for a king size bed, but they stuck me in a room with two doubles.
