try somewhere else

The location is walking distance to old town and shopping. The 2 TVs did not work in our suite. I did enjoy the small library of art and architecture books that was in our room and if we were staying a while, the kitchen seemed well equiped. The breakfast at the hotel is not included and costs 18 Euros per person..way too much...but it was too far and took too long to walk anywhere on the day we had to get to the airport. Rooms are not available until 3pm but they did store our luggage until the room was ready. Staff is not especially friendly or helpful.

surprisingly nice hotel in the middle of the city

All rooms are appartments and very spacious.Nice, modern, great kitchen and overall very bright and airy. Location is excellent. Quiet street, yet in the middle of shopping, close to Old City and train station.Staff was friendly. I would definitely prefer this hotel over others I know close by.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Schadowstrasse just around the corner with most of Duesseldorf’s shopping possibilities

Great location & room, nice place but some flaws..you decide

Two blocks to major department stores/streets- nice! Big room with balcony, kitchen, 2 tvs (2 channels in English), big bathroom, lots of storage, safe, etc We very much liked the apartment hotel as it was quiet, 6 blocks from train station and ok to walk with luggage. Negatives- Internet service was about eleven/day which I was fine with if it worked. It went up and down constantly and very hard to get work done. If you need to use their service- then I would definitely suggest elsewhere, no matter how nice this place is. This was aggravating to me since it was so inconsistent. Breakfast- is not included with the low Expedia rate that we got but that was no problem as we saved about ninety/night by booking on an expedia special. We just picked up pastry, yogurts, etc from the department store basement grocery 2 blocks away and ate wonderfully for cheap. I asked the clerk how much breakfast would be if we paid directly to the hotel in the morning- eighteen euros per person---I don’t think so! Housekeeping- does a wonderful job but refuses to either knock on the door before entering or knocks as they are turning the knob, etc- you think someone is breaking in since they are not announcing themselves Shower- works wonderful but it is one of those fancy ones that has no floor ledge so the water likes to go out into the bathroom- easily solved by using an extra towel on the floor each day Overall, would I stay here again- Yes! If I had to depend on the internet though - No!

Traveler's tip on shopping

So close to lots of shopping and trams are within 2 blocks too if you don’t want to walk alot. Christmas markets were EVERYWHERE in this city!
