the breakers
This "hotel" actually acts more like an apartment complex. I rented a one bedroom for one week. Each room is different. Mine was very nice and comfortable. The only bad thing is you have to supply your own toiletries. You are given: one set of clean towels, two soap bars, and one roll of toilet paper. If you need anything else, you have to purchase it either from the reception or at a store. Overall, I loved my Gold Coast experience and would stay at the Breakers again!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Gold Coast has several rainforests close by. I went to Springbrook National Park and saw amazing waterfalls. Make sure you bring a park map before you go on a hike. The amusement parks are over priced and over crowded (not worth it). I suggest taking surfing lessons while you are there and driving to all the different beaches!
