Great hotel, one minor nit
The Unitas was a great hotel, its right on the edge of Stare Mesto (old town). Its a block from the major Stare Nuevo (new town) shopping street, and easy walking distance from the town square, Charles bridge, etc. Great service, friendly staff. My only nit was that the "King Size" bed that we asked (and were confirmed) for was actually two twin beds pushed together with a common headboard, but fully separate sheets etc. I know this is common in Europe but this is why we asked for King, not two twins. The hotel couldnt even find us a single comforter - we had two twin-size comfortors on the bed. So other than the joy of sleeping with a crack between the two beds, everything was great. Good breakfast, good coffee (however you like it), clean modern rooms, free wifi, and most importantly plenty of shower pressure!

Very comfortable Prague hotel
The Unitas is a smaller hotel easily within walking distance to St Charles square and all the major attractions. The staff could not have been more friendly. It is a secure building and you are buzzed in after dark. The rooms had contemporary lighting and decor and very comfortable beds. The hotel was non smoking which was great! Breakfast is included and was very good, try the crepes! The hotel is close to the police station but in three nights we never heard a siren. It was very quite. Our only complaints were no adapter for my curling iron-I bought a hat! Also very limited TV stations in English which appears common in Europe. I would definately stay at the Unitas again.
It was colder than I expected in October. Bring warm clothes.

Location, location, location.
Apart from a road trip to Theresienstadt we were able to walk to every place in the book that had been high-lighted before we left home. Our room was spacious & comfortable, with speedy internet hook-up, and the staff could not have been nicer.
