It was fine.

As business trips go it was fine, nothing in the area to look at.

Satisfactory

The hotel was satisfactory for business travel, but the location is far from anything; it’s located in an industrial park and there are no restaurants or anything to do nearby. The staff varied--some were friendly and others made you feel as though they were doing you a favor to perform routine tasks (such as check in). The shuttle does run 24/7, so it is convenient to the airport. The beds are comfortable, but the only TV you can get is pay-on-demand.

Helpful staff

The staff pointed out alot of things to do in Memphis and were very friendly. Some minor issues, pool gates were broken and pool needed to be cleaned. The bed was very comfortable but then we had something smeared on the tv so it kind of cancled each other out.

The room was clean, linens were neutral and pleasing to look at. Hotel lobby was pleasant and employees were helpful.

Restful Experience

Everything about this hotel was comforting and easy on the weary traveler except gate entrance. I checked in after dark and, while pleased with the security of a gate around the facility parking, my card would not work and the supposed "help" button was not easy to find. I had to pull out of line, park and go bak in to ask for admittance even though I had just check in.

Most comfortable and friendly

We had stayed in a "no name" hotel on the road from Virginia that had a bed with a lumpy, thin mattress and very thin towels. The Marriot was a pleasant room with a new, comfortable bed and plush towels. It was great to get a good night’s sleep.

Needs Sound Proofing

The hotel was recently renovated. The room was very nice, but sounds of aircraft taking off all night (FedEx) seemed louder than my last visit two years ago. The room provided ear plugs... I should have used them.

Room and bathroom were very clean. Staff was friendly. Conveniently located to airport with shuttle running every 30 min.

Completely un-impressed

Assigned a room around 4:45pm that had not seen any maid service, sheets/blankets/towels scattered throughout rooms. Soda bottles everywhere. Given another room with no offer of a discount for inconvience or AARP,AAA,SENIOR`S or even Military.Did not have way to seek another hotel. Plumbing noise from adjoining rooms very loud, airplane noise was not bad. Dont understand these high ratings. Will not return!!!

Good hotel for business travellers

This hotel was extremely clean and tidy. However, there are not many places to eat near this hotel. I also do not recommend it if you have small children. It seems well designed and planned for business travellers with plenty of internet access and conference space.

Find someplace else or bring plenty of things to keep your children amused.

What I’ve come to expect from Marriot

This is a wonderfully quiet place to stay in Memphis. It is in an office complex district so it is completely deserted at night. Not far from the Airport yet feels quite a bit isolated. The quality of the hotel has been exceptional every time I have stayed. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay for catching a next morning flight

Close and convienient to the airport. No food places around - within walking distance Moring airport shuttle gets full fast - be there early Beds were very comfortable. If you have an early next day flight and need a ride to the airport, this is a good choice. Order out for food and relax.

Clean and close to airport

We stayed here the night before an early morning flight. The check-in staff was so helpful with shuttle schedules and information. The shuttle runs every half hour all night long, so it’s very convenient. You are also very near the rental car return area. The room was clean, comfortable and very nice. The noise from the airport others have reported wasn’t really an issue that we noticed. We’ll definitely stay there again!

Very close to the rental car return -- and the shuttle will pick you up from there and bring you back to the hotel if you want to return your car early!!

Memorable stay with warm hospitality

Great location, spotless hotel, very friendly staff. They made me feel at home and were always smiling. The full breakfast was delicious and the hostess was wonderful. All of the employees were very helpful. I will definately be staying here again the next time I’m in Memphis.

This hotel was just about perfect. Extremely clean and comfortable, great staff, great location, great breakfast. There was not a bad thing about it. Highly recommended.

The ducks at The Peabody Hotel were fun to see. Check it out each morning at 11:00 or afternoon’s at 5:00. AN EVENT!!!!

Would stay here again

The room was very clean and comfortable and the bed was really nice. Each day the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast buffet was like a restaurant buffet - very filling and a good variety. Since it’s close to the airport, you could hear planes landing and taking off, but it was more of a background noise and was not an annoying distraction.

We used this hotel for a good night sleep,before we flew out the next morning. We had to change rooms because of noise on the highway. The staff was great.

Seconed visit, definitely will be a third , and perhaps fourth, fifth, etc..

Overall a very good hotel

Location is close to downtown. Staff were somewhat lacking in compassion, but the price and room/facilities were excellent. I would recommend this as a nice business or leisure hotel.

The best part of the trip!

From the time we checked in until the time we checked out it was perfect. Loved the fluffy, soft beds with clean white sheets! Quiet! Clean rooms! Everything worked! Wonderful front desk staff! Housekeeping was there everyday and tended to our requests. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Centrally located and minutes from favorite attractions! Restful after a long day of sightseeing!

Clean, but in the middle of nowhere

When I booked this hotel, I was led to believe there was a restaurant onsite. However, if there is a restaurant listed as part of the hotel, they don’t tell you it’s not open on the weekends! I went to this hotel my last night in Memphis (thank God)and was extremely disappointed. I had to take a $25 cab ride to get to a place where there were activities (like a mall or something) and food. Very inconvenient. There IS a small fridge in the room, so if you know that in advance, maybe you could plan ahead. For a weary business traveler, this hotel is not conducive to relaxation.

Be prepared to take a cab to a restaurant ($25). But there is one place by Graceland what will come get you in their pink limo free of charge and take you to the restaurant--if you want Elvis food.
