Can’t wait to go back!
The Shangri-La hotel exceeded my expectations in every manner. The staff was very helpful and accommodating in every way. It was also very clean, which is very important to me with my cleanliness obsession! And the location was perfect; we were able to walk right down to the beach, over to the Pier, close to shopping, and even over to Venice beach! Overall, this stay was well worth it and we definitely plan on coming back!

Very nice staff and cool pool
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The pool was great, however they kicked us out of the area every night at 6:00 because they host large parties, so no lingering for cocktail hour at the pool bar. The parties were pretty loud but luckly could not hear it once we shut our bedroom door. The staff was very nice and helpful. Anytime we asked for anything they took care of it ASAP. The bathroom was not so good. Basiacally a hand held shower in a tub. So, if you want to take a shower standing up the entire bathroom got soaking wet. I did not mind this as much as my husband as he is not much for baths. The hotel is in a great location.

Party hotel
This is a motel, outside doors in an L shape facing the pool. The night we were there, the hotel had a catered party with loud music well past 2 am. The music was incredibly loud in our room - worse than staying in a dorm room. There is about 1 foot of walking space from the end of the bed to the mini-dresser. If you are in your 20’s and want to listen to someone else’s party when you’re paying hundreds of dollars for a small room, then this hotel is for you.
