Everything we expected in a Killarney Hotel and more!
We cannot say enough great things about the Arbutus Hotel. The place is charming, the staff friendly and helpful and the location is terrific. It even has an on-site pub with traditional entertainment. The enormous Irish breakfast kept us going for hours and the staff even recommended some lovely, inexpensive places for dinner. We had to leave at 4:00 AM to catch our return flight and they even insisted on making us fresh coffee with our wake up call! We traveled all over the country, all four and five star hotels/castles, but this was absolutely our favorite.

Great location, great service!
A nicely appointed traditional Irish hotel in a good location. Breakfast (Euro style) is exceptional where Betty saw to our every need, the cozy bar well stocked for an array of drinks, and the staff are professional, friendly and accomodating. The rooms are spacious (especially by European standards), spotlessly clean and comfortable. Bathrooms had been updated recently with all the bells and whistles. Only two reasons why we didn’t rate it 5 stars for the price point: 1. There was no parking attached to the hotel - although it was a short walk to the paid lot it was a little cumbersome because we had to scurry out to the lot EARLY each morning to buy a new ticket for the next 24 hours. 2. The rooms were a bit too warm even though we’d left the windows open 24x7. This is not uncommon in an old structure but a bit surprising for the month of October when the cool weather had arrived. The rooms needs some circulation e.g, ceiling fans. Overall, we’d be happy return to this hotel and we plan to recommend it to others.

Try "Bricin" restaurant for an AMAZING meal! After having more than a week’s worth of robust, rustic Irish food we found this place and we were delighted. It truly rivals any top restaurant you’d find in NYC, Chicago, etc.

Excellent hotel in Killarney
Great location in Killarney. Nice, large room. Very good breakfast, and helpful staff who recommended great day trips, sites to see, and restaurants with vegetarian food.
