Middle of the Road convenience
Stayed in the Pagoda Terrace room with kitchenette. A/C was in a poor position and did not cool the room adequately. Floor and carpet needed to be cleaned better. Overall cleanliness was average. Location was good and centralized, close to shopping, restaurants, main roads and freeway. If you want a view, this is not for you. Next time I’ll stay in the hotel, not the terrace.

Good value
The Pagoda Hotel is widely recommended by locals because it is centrally located near both Waikiki and Ala Moana. It’s not the place to chose if you want to enjoy a tropical drink while watching the sunset from your hotel-room veranda, but it is the place to stay comfortably in Honolulu if you plan to spend most of your time travelling around the city or Oahu. Very reasonably priced, large rooms, parking less a problem than in nearby Waikiki.
