Couldnt sleep!
We were on the third floor of the hotel, and there was a bar underneath. The noise from the bar was so loud, it was as if our bed were sitting right in the middle of the bar itself. We were kept awake for many hours. Also, our room was so small that we had to keep our suitcases in the narrow entrance hallway. On the plus side, the desk clerk was very nice and the hotel was pleasant-looking. There was also a "Happy Hour" with free snacks and wine, and a somewhat unimpressive breakfast buffet (by Israeli standards). The location was very convenient in downtown Jerusalem. However, we would never stay there again!

Excellent Jerusalem Boutique
We searched on Expedia for the best boutique hotel in Jerusalem, and we feel we found it. Room was small in size, but very well designed, with excellent bathroom, ample light and view. Breakfast buffet and its setting excellent, outdoor deck (with two-person swings) a pleasure. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Neighborhood charming and convenient. We found really good, memorable restaurants nearby: Zuni, just across the street, justifiably popular with travelers and locals, and YMCAs dining terrace, a pleasant walk away, ideal for al fresco lunch or dinner.
On our brief visit, we focused on main sights: Western Wall, Temple Mount, Israel Museum, Yad Vashem -- all world-class destinations.
