Close to DC Airport
The location of hotel was the mainreason it was selected. The room was clean and hotel service was acceptable. However, the rate for a basic room was very expensive. 1-night stay at this hotel cost me the same as the sum total of 3-nights at a comparable hotel just a little further away. Next time I won’t stay so close to the airport, was in the area for a funeral and wasn’t familiar with the area so had no idea about cost.

An unexpected pleasure.
I recently attended a conference in Arlington (at a different hotel) and ended up booking at the Holiday Inn to save money. My expectations were low due to the price and I was delighted to find a newly renovated hotel with helpful staff and excellent restaurants on site. Their shuttle service was timely and efficient as well. In all a truly unexpected pleasure.

Great Stay!
Very nice and convenient. The only complaint I have is probably the same complaint I would have for any number of hotels in the DC area,in that they certainly "gouge" their clients for parking.
Sit down and familiarize yourself with the metro rail system as you can pretty much get anywhere you need to be using it. CAUTION! If you park in a metro parking area,make sure your metro "SmartTrip" card has enough money left in it to cover the $4.50 parking fee. You’ll need the card to park in most lots,and there usually isn’t a human there to take money should you be short. I recommend putting more than you think you’ll need on the card,cause if you have to go back and add money to it in order to get your car out,you may find inoperable machines at the terminal.
