Nice for the Price

The Hotel was clean and everyone was friendly.The price was very good for being 1/4 mile from the Park.

West Yellowstone village doesn’t have much for dinning choices. If you like pizza,burgers and beer you’ll love it. Prices are high but what can I say. For a great dinner in the park I suggest Grant village. The prices are high but the food and more high end setting is worth it.

Days Inn n Out

This motel was probably the nicest in west yellowstone. They had an indoor pool with a slide that I regret not using. Breakfast was free and awesome.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

it takes about 30 min to get to old faithful from the motel. Old faithful goes off about every 90 minutes. Get there early to get a good spot.

perfectly fine for its price range

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and totally satisfactory for the price we paid. Don’t go there expecting 5 star service, and you’ll be fine. Every room comes with free breakfast (think Denny’s Grand Slam).

Pleasantly surprised

We enjoyed our stay at Days Inn. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed a nice breakfast the next morning all compliments of Days Inn.

Great Breakfast Bonus!

Our room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I would have was that it was near the pool and there were lots of kids running through the hall. We were pleased to be given coupons for a free breakfast when we checked in. That was unexpected, yet welcome. The breakfast was wonderful! Shopping is within walking distance.

Great place for the kids

Comfortable place to stay, in room refrig a plus. My son spent at least an hour every eve on the waterslide. Both he and I enjoyed our 3 day stay while visiting Yellowstone.

Lack of maintenance of bathroom and toiltet, not impressed.

Breakfast service was good. Hotel condition is not good. It is kind old. but Toilte was keep running. Hot water was hard to adjust and don’t have enough pressure. It need to maintain more.

Decent place to stay....

This hotel had some minor issues...the AC was incredibly loud and the walls were even thinner than the usual hotel. Other than that, the staff was pretty friendly and the restaurant was pretty decent (good thing since there are VERY few places to eat in the town.) Sadly, even when you take into account the mediocrity of this motel, it was probably the nicest place in town.

Honestly, if you can afford to stay in Yellowstone, or head to a different gate, I would recommend it. This town is not the greatest place to stay. Fine for a brief stop over, but I certainly wouldn’t utilize it as a key element of my vacation.

Given the relatively cheap price for Days Inn, I am satisfied with the comfort and cleanliness. However, there is no dinning facility at lunch and dinner during the my stay, which I found quite inconvenience.

We were treated like special guests, and felt very welcome.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and the service was so very friendly, and the free breakfast in the restaurant was a "surprise".

good room for the price

We had a clean comfortable room with good beds. This is an older hotel, but was just fine. The kids had a blast in the pool with the big slide. It was very reasonably priced as compared to other, newer hotels in the area. We will go back again.

needs improvement

For the price they charge, can use a lot of improvement. Some of the bath fixtures were old; hard to turn shower knobs, fan hanging down from ceiling, crack in toliet, paint chipping off walls. One small soap and one small shampoo. TV had poor reception, some channels "fuzzy". Clock radio alarm was broken. Full breakfast included each am, which was good. Overall, for the price they charge, they should give a lot more.

Alright

Simple motel style room. Room was good. However, one pillowcase had stains on it. Bed sheets had wrinkles. It looked as though the sheets were slept on.

convenient

Typical hotel room which met expectations. Room clean, good breakfast included, & convenient to Yellowstone’s west entry

Nice place to spend the night

Had no problems with the staff on arrival or departure. Comforable place to stay the night and close to many food places.

Not impressed

Just a normal hotel. I made two room reservation and wanted to have rooms next to each other, they said no.

Bad News

New paint and siding on the outside does not make up for the old run-down inside. The old wing was once a single story motel with outside entrances that they build a second story over and added a closed outside hall. As soon as you step into the hall the first floor is a old Route 66 motel with window AC that works poorly. Surprized if it passes fire building codes. Hotel management is very rude. And at the prices we paid you would think they might have enough class not to put signs on the ice machine "no cooler filling". Never again at this franchise.

Dirty place to stay

This hotel is one of the worst I’ve ever stayed. The room was dirt, when we turned the tiny ac unit a puff of dust came out, the halls were filthy, the front desk lady while checking us in never even raised her head to talk to me, very harsh and vague when answering question. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody.

Good for the price

We had some issues with the bathroom, but was nice overall. My son had a lot of fun in the pool.

Trapper’s Restaurant is attached to the hotel, open for breakfast only. Excellent food at great prices!

Not Recommended for Price

Have just stayed 5 days in this hotel. Selected the hotel mainly because of close location to Yellowstone Park. Overall cannot recommend. Our room was on the ground floor with no window to the outside. The only window was going on the main floor, so no fresh air. It might be different in other parts of the hotel. Breakfast was good and plenty - however only free if you choose the one selection they offer as included - pretty brong after 5 days. A la carte will be charged. For the price I would have expected more.

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast in hotel restaurant, Tour guide Steve was superb! We took two tours of park with Steve. Great.

Yellowstone Trip in October

Everything is fine except that the pillows are not really comfortable to me. It’s too thick and too soft.

Nice place to stay!

Conveniently located, comfy, safe and quiet. Wasn’t impressed by the frontdesk people though--not that warm--didn’t make me feel welcome; they were pretty indifferent. Rather small parking lot.

Recommended: - Trappers Family Restaurant (breakfast only--6:30-11:30AM), pool + waterslide within hotel, - Yellowstone National Park and Visitor Center, super close-by, - Bullwinkle’s Saloon and Eatery, 19 Madison Avenue.

Not impressed.

Hotel desk personnel very rude. I asked for a smoking room, didn’t get one. There was not a microwave nor refridgerator in the room, which was expected. I asked for the address of the hotel so that I could send a comment card about the rudeness and treatment that we received and I was told they did not know what it was. I refuse to stay at another one of these hotels.
