Reasonable place to stay in Key West

Not bad for a very reasonable place to sleep. It’s not the Ritz, but, the price was very good for Key West. Pretty close to downtown so that was convient. I liked the fact that the Waffle House was right next door for a good breakfast. We slept well as the bed was comfortable.

No WiFi

For this price I was disappointed that I had to go sit in the lobby every time I wanted internet access. WiFi in the rooms should be easy and cheap enough to install. I mostly stay in economy hotels/motels, and most have WiFi in the rooms these days. Going rates at least half of this hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel and was really plesantly surporised by the great aroma of such a clean room during our entire stay

A bit rundown

The hotel was old, a bit rundown and could have used some renovations. However, the staff was very courteous and check-in was a breeze.

cheap Room

for a cheap room it wasn’t too bad...Consierge and front desk were great.

Pass it on by

Hotel staff was friendly and courteous. Not enough towels in bathroom. Hotel room smelled musty and moldy. They tried to cover up the smell with some kind of deodorizer but it just created a very strong unpleasant smell. Bathroom floor was not clean. The coffee maker was dirty. The rest of the suite did look Clean.

its cheap and you get what you pay for!

Hotel was old and dumpy but it was a good deal. Can’t complain in that respect. It’s the life long lesson...you get what you pay for. I’m a young single female and did not feel safe there. I’d recommend speding a few more $$ on something nicer.

Good hotel in a peaceful place

It’s a good place, the location is good because is at the entrance of Key West

Other than the fact that the tank on the toilet kept filling up periodically for no reason, the hotel was just fine.

Overall the hotel is ok. The only bad thing is there’s no wireless in the room, you have to go to lobby to surf the internet.

I was really disappointed by the hotel, not good value for the money

I was really disappointed by the hotel, not good value for the money. The quality of hotel is same like Motel6 but 2-3 times more expensive. In compare with other hotels where I stayed during the time in USA, this was definetely worst experience. The room really smell horrible even was non-smoking room. Avoid if possible.

Clean with NO curb appeal or amenities

This Days Inn is at the bottom of the Days Inn’s I have stayed at. The physical surroundings are very run down and the hotel has not been updated since the 70s. If stuck and poor, it is clean. But I found the place "unappetizing" and, while I am on a budget, I would say that a few more dollars can go a long way to make your vacation pleasant and joyous.

Average

As an aging property, this motel is just about average as budget motels go. The room was OK, looked clean and fresh. Realistically, in Key West, you’re not in your room much anyway. Overall, it’s a decent place, with good rates. There seems to be only one ice machine though. It has a Waffle House Restaurant right in the lobby, a definite plus.

far from downtown

It is a cheap hotel, far from downtown. The safe did not work and they could not help it. There is no table in the rooms, it makes inconvenience. Rooms are clean.

Best Value on Key West

Honestly we did not expect much when we booked the cheapest major chain hotel on Key West. We were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean, had a Waffle House in the lobby, nice tropical landscaping, and pool looked nice. It was quiet and well-equipped other than that there were no tables in the room. There was a bedside table and that was the only table. Not even a desk. Great location. As soon as you come across the bridge onto Key West, you take a left and it is the first hotel on the right.

Decent accommodation’s for a good price

A typical Days Inn, the pool was kept clean but is right up against the highway. Rooms were decent, nothing great but a cheap place to sleep.

Traveler's tip on dining

The Island Dog at the very end of Duval has a nice atmosphere, indoor or outdoor seating, a small menu but good food. We ended up there at least once almost every day.

Should charge less

I am pretty thrifty and this was a rough stay even for me. The room showed lots of wear and tear. I would have over looked that if the walls and carpeting were cleaner and if the door could open without hitting it the same time with your shoulder. Pool area was Great and the kids enjoyed it, we used the room only for showers and sleeping so it was ok for the money (being generous). I will not stay here again, will spend $50. more and stay in Marathon, then drive to Key West.

first off this hotel has no refridgerator 3 miles away from mallory square (main street in key west) the one thing is a plus for this hotel is that there is enough room to park an jet ski. that was the real reason i wanted to stay here but next yr i’ll pay more to be lot closer to mallory square also the tv didn’t work hardly at all

i won’t stay here again cause it is impossible to find a parking spot at/around mallory square without getting an taxi unless you want to get over there before 7am and not paying alot for an parking spot in a parking lot so your better off riding a bike

Beds were very uncomfortable and carpets were distguishing dirty

The hotel rugs wer terriblt dirty & the mattresses were completely worn out to the springs, I received back problems as result

Good Hotel For the Money

After reading many reviews of this hotel, we were quite frankly expecting it to be pretty bad. But it was actually quite good for the economical price. The Bad: Kinda far away from everything in Key West, so a car or transportation is necessary. Wi-Fi only available in the lobby. No fridge, or microwave in room. The Good: Nice pool. Very friendly staff. Decently clean. Smoking room available, which is hard to find these days. Good waffle house on site. No bugs as we were led to believe from other reviews. Overall, very good economical, no frills hotel. So, if you’re on a budget this is a good place to stay in Key West.

Chill & cheap place for Spring Breakers

My friends and I from UCF stayed here for our spring break 2009 trip and had a blast. There is a waffle house attached to the hotel and an awesome pool you can grill out by. Many other college students stayed at this hotel enjoyed it as well. Room service was excellent. I did find one tiny roach on the night stand the last night we were there. Other than that, we had tons of people in and out of our room the entire time and we were never checked on or reprimanded for being too loud or having too many guests. The staff did not care what went on and only smiled and walked away. It was a great experience and I would definitely stay there again.
