Excellent location and great boutique hotel
This boutique hotel is located just 1.5 blocks south of Dupont Circle, 5 min walk to the Metro as well as numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants. Its a perfect location if you like to be in an area that has a great nightlife scene and is convenient to the Metro. While the hotel does not have many public areas (the lobby is just an entrance), there is a great restaurant attached and the rooms are well-appointed and have a modern design. And the hotel offers great extras like cookies and milk in the evening and evening wine and cheese. Definitely would stay here again.

Nice location
I like this chain but didnt get the quiet room I wanted. I would probably stay at a different Klimpton hotel.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Metro, Metro, Metro. A perfect way to see the city. But also make sure to take a walk into Georgetown and along the Potomac. The Metro doesnt run there.

Pretty nice for Expedias price
Room was large and very comfortable. Stylish decor (and SOMETHING in the front lobby smells great! :)). Our room overlooked New Hampshire Avenue, but other than the sirens at night, was very quiet. Hotel is pet-friendly, but you wouldnt know it (in Florida, Pet-friendly hotel usually means dump)...they even put out signs welcoming the furry friends of the day. Free wireless internet (you just have to sign up for KimptonRewards, which is free anyways)and a very well-stocked mini-bar. One warning: as with a lot of hotels, the use of their computer in their business center is quite pricey. We would have used our laptop but we needed to print out our boarding passes for the next morning. Other than that, very nice hotel for the price we got.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you are going to DC and are going to be sticking to the tourist sights, dont get a car. Stick to the Metro. Its a little worn, as are most subway/train systems, but we found it very reliable. And really, the price cant be beat. You think youre going to get a cab from Dupont Circle to the Smithsonian for $1.35? :) Look at the Washington Metros website and get a SmartTrip card. Its worth the money.
