Well positioned

We stayed in Calgary to visit the Stampede. Hotel was well located to walk to the grounds. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Service friendly. Good breakfast provided.

Good as expected

I read the reviews of the hotel before choosing it. I was expecting good quality service and it was.

Not quite as good as I expected

The hotel was OK - small but good exercise room, fancy lobby. The clerks were a bit terse, but the concierge was friendly. My room was spacious, but not very fancy. It was as if it was missing a piece of furniture. I liked the iHome audio system/alarm clock. The business center charged by the minute for the computer and internet use, which I needed because I forgot my computer. That was a bit expensive. Free hot chocolate in the evening and free coffee in the morning was good.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Extremely close to downtown Calgary - I walked to the mall and to lots of the surrounding areas with no problem.

Very Noisy Hotel

The down town has so much construction and the windows are so thin that you can hear everything outside. Makes for a very interrupted sleep. Not worth the money to stay there. I wouldn’t go back.

A Hotel In Downtown Calgary

I would return to this hotel for a conference

Traveler's tip for business travelers

People in Calgary are generally very friendly, polite and helpful - but I have never been there during the "Stampede"

State of the Art Hotel?

The hotel web site portrays a state-of-the-art hotel with all the latest room comforts, however, it is not curently the case. The hotel is still looking dated and in need of a good clean up. The lifts need looking into too! It took at least 10 minutes for a lift to arrive at the 11th floor at 06:00? All in all a very expensive "Dated Hotel".

Great Location

The stay here was awesome. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. I never once heard my neighbor or elevators or hall noise. Since it is in the heart of old Calgary it was easy to navigate the city. The front desk recommended a great little sushi joint down the street and places to go, all which were perfect. By the end of our day we were very tired and decided to eat in with room service. The food was excellent but a little pricey, and the service was fast.

Traveler's tip on shopping

US dollars are taken in most places but it best to just take Canadian. Down the street there is a lot of small shops, one that sells delicious handmade baklava, but take time to visit the Chinook shopping center which has a lot of options.

Great Hotel

This hotel was beautiful! While the room was on the small size, there was plenty of room for my fiance and I. This is a perfect couple or someone in business. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only complaint was that the restaurant in the hotel was very expensive.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Delta Bow Valley is right in the middle of downtown Calgary, so walking from the hotel is easy. I recommend eating somewhere outside of the hotel, unless price doesn’t really bother you. The Glenbow Museum is a few block away and is a must for anyone interested in History. Make sure to check out the beautiful parks and Bow River.
