Very pleasantly surprised
This was our first trip to Thailand and I picked this hotel from reviews I found online so I was a bit wary of what we would find. They provide free transfer from and to the airport and were there waiting for us (although they did not have our names but the name of the hotel on the sign the driver held). The ride to the hotel went thru what seemed to be a bad neighborhood but the hotel itself was set back from the road and was a delight. The service was excellent, the room was spotless, the bed was large and (for Thailand) comfortable and they arranged for a ride back to the airport the next morning with no trouble. We stayed at this hotel on our return trip and were treated even better the second time. We highly recommend this hotel.

Not what I expected
I chose this hotel according to travel agent recomendation, and their web page. In fact it was not what we expected. the neibourhood was unpleasant, the hotel staff spoke only basic english and the room although clean but simple had unacceptable bathroom. Yes, it’s inexpensive, but I’ll not coose it again

Very very clean and good value for money
We were very satisfied. The hotel is only 15 minutes away from the airport. The neighborhood is OK. There are two good restaurants next to the hotel. Recommended for a day stay when on transit and you do not like to visit Bangkok itself.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Novotel at the airport is 4 times as expensive. You can call Silver Gold Garden hotel and they will pick you up. So even do not bother to take a cap
