Would stay again but skip the all inclusive
The hotel was very nice and the rooms were spotless. The food was good however if you had the all inclusive the drink service was slow and the mixed drinks were terrible overall i would recommend staying w/o the all inclusive plan.

Be careful about all inclusive!
I traveled with two teenage children and we found the Omni and the staff to be great. The multiple pools caught my children’s attention. The beach is in pretty poor shape as a result of the hurricane. Hotel service was great and we had a great time. My word of advice: Read what you are buying very carefully. I searched Expedia for an "all-inclusive" resort and selected the Omni because of the value. When I got to Cancun, I found I had to pay an additional (large) amount per day for the all-inclusive package. At first I just thought it was my mistake (though I wasn’t happy!) -- until I met 2 more families who had the same experience. We all were certain that we had purchased all-inclusive, but found we needed to pay more once we got there. Quite frankly, I would have selected a different hotel if I would have known how much it was going to cost overall. On the other hand, the food was very nice as was the service. It just ended up costing much more than I thought.

Excellant Hotel-The Omni
The Omni Cancun was awesome! We stayed in the villas. WOW! The ocean view was beautiful. The villas are very spacious. We were there with our two sons, we each had our own room and bathroom. The kitchen was amazing! We were in Cancun in October. So it wasn’t a busy time. The food was amazing! The DaVinci resturant is outstanding! The beach is nice. There are many large rocks right in front of the Omni, but if you go down the beach aways you can enjoy the beach more with no rocks. The many pools on the property were great! The hot tub was nice, but the water could have been hotter. All the Omni employees go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The City bus is the way to get around. You pay about .70 cents per person to ride. We felt very safe. Take $1 dollar bills for tips, they really appreciate it. A word of warning. Don’t get caught in the excursion trap at the airport. They will try and sell you a "too good to be true deal." Your best bet for excursions is through the hotel. Not sure when we’ll get back, but would stay at the Omni again.
