Comfortable and Clean Hotel, Perfect After Surf Trip
We were returning from a 10-day surf trip visiting friends and surfing at Playa Grande, and stayed at this hotel the night before our flight the next morning. It was perfect. The lobby was spacious and comfortable, the staff was courteous and friendly, and everything went smoothly. The restaurant downstairs was excellent. The rooms were new and fresh. There’s a nice pool. My 19 year old son, not usually given to hyperbole, said this was the best hotel he’s ever stayed in. It’s a very quick shuttle ride to the pocket-sized airport. For the 7 a.m. flight to Houston, you can’t do better. Two thumbs way up.

Before you enter the jungles of Costa RIca.....
Great stop over hotel- very affordable and the beds are so comfortable. Everyone was very helpful with directions and not pushy. Great FREE internet. We stayed coming and going as the Liberia airport is so close but quiet. Looks brand new. Wish I was there now
Nice pool- City of Liberia about 10-15 minutes away. Great market and shopping. Stock up on drinks and snacks before heading to your destination. Make sure you see Arenal and Rincon!

Not your typical ’’airport’’ hotel - very nice!
I thought Hilton’s Garden Inns were a somewhat more basic line of hotels, but this felt more like a Westin or something. High quality all around, and extremely well trained, helpful staff. This is a nice hotel for anywhere. I have also met others here in Costa who said the same thing. Definite way to go in and out of the country if Liberia is your airport.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Met several travelers looking for transport to coast, and taxi’s are often suggested if you are not up to braving the buses. I found I could rent a car for 1 day, and drop in Somara (very small town) with the total cost being less than taxi. It was more fun driving too!
