Not a 4**** Hotel
My husband & I recently returned from an amazing vacation in Italy. Our first & last stop was Hotel Cicerone. The hotel was old & worn and in need of an update. The rooms were clean but not clean to hotel standards. The airconditioning did not work even though we tried to adjust the thermostat. Our first stay was for 2 nights. Rome is beautiful. Great sights, great food, & great desserts! :) We went to Venice & Florence before returning back to Rome on the last stop before heading home.We checked in and went to our room to drop off our luggage before heading out to enjoy our last day in Rome. My husband discovered that the toilet was not working. We stopped at the front desk before heading out to inform them that our toilet was not working. They said they would take care of it. When we returned to our room at 12:30 that night our toilet was still broken. I went down to the front desk to tell them. They didnt really seem to care. They moved us to another room just as hot & smelly as the other two but atleast the toilet work!!There are lots of beautiful hotels in Rome for the same price we paid if not less. I dont recommend this hotel.
