Great 1930s Hotel
Built in the 1930’s, this hotel’s architecture and ambiance were excellent. The room was clean, the bathroom modern, and the hotel staff curtous. I would definately recommend this hotel.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Virginia Beach has alot to offer - a boardwalk, a football field sized beach, many hotels and restaurants. I only spent a weekend in VA Beach and can’t wait to go back.

Oldie but a Goodie
Since the Hotel was built in 1927 it was a magnificent show of old wealth. Due to the gov’t using it during war efforts many of the original decor was stripped away and had to be reproduced. We spent so much time marveling at the uniquness that there wasn’t much time for the beach. Only saw two staff members the entire stay but fortunately we didn’t needed any assistant. Pleased with the low price of the average weekend.
Not a place for young children. Nothing to keep them occupied. Optimal for Romance. Only open from May to September.

Pretty Awesome!
Lovely old hotel. Got a corner room upgrade for free for some odd reason; probably overbooked and I got the lucky end. Wonderful view of Virgina Beach from 4th floor. Grounds looks amazing. Would hurry to get back if cost was a bit lower.
