A pleasant surprise
We arrived at 11 p.m., tired from a long drive. The front desk staff knew our names before we even checked in. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and had little courtyards with benches outside. We both commented in the morning how comfortable the beds were and how well we slept. Amazing value for money. A-1!
Traveler's tip on dining
The Smittys restaurant adjoining the hotel serves a wonderful hot breakfast less than a Venti Latte at Starbucks. And cheerful servers too!

Would not return
Terribly overpriced for the condition of the hotel. Under excavation construction. No elevator. Needs updating. Not secure building.

Comfortable, classy & convenient
We needed a hotel close to the Port Huron Border as we were driving to Canada to renew our visas. This hotel was rated highly and we decided to go for it. The staff was courteous, and the hotel seemed very quiet, not too many guests it appeared. However, the room was gorgeous. 2 queen size beds in our rooms, with top quality bedding and mattresses. The decor was nice, there was free internet too. Another great convenience was that they had a device in the tub to let us get as much shampoo, conditioner, body gel as we needed. I liked that, bc most hotels are so stingy about that. This was about 2 mins from the border, and 5 mins from major restaurants.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The area around there seems pretty boring, other than a few restaurants. If you are coming there to cross the border it is fine. But if you are planning on relaxing and having fun at the hotel it might be boring. there is a pool though, and free internet, but i dont think the kids will be too entertained.
