Built in 1927 as the Taft Hotel, the Michelangelo displays its original light fixtures and brass moldings, and an authentic hand-painted Fortuny tapestry. The Michelangelo has 178 guestrooms on floors 3 through 7 of the hotel building. Rooms are decorated in Neoclassical, Art Deco, or Country French style. At an average of 475 square feet, the rooms are among the largest in the city. They feature cherry-wood furniture, European fabrics, and Italian Frette terry bathrobes.
