I would stay here again
Nothing fancy about this hotel, solid, clean, nice staff, the location is great, Chamonix is not that big so you are pretty much in the center of everything. Fair price, nothing fancy, but if you don’t care about that then you’ll be fine. Beautiful views from room.

We loved Hotel Richemond
This hotel was just wonderful. All of the staff members were very polite, friendly and helpful. The view from out room was outstanding! Our room was very charming, and after learning about the history, I could imagine what it was like in years past. We do plan on returning to Chamonix in the next year, and we plan on staying at the Hotel Richemond again.

Great staff, but amenities a bit lacking
The staff were VERY helpful in helping us find good hikes, explaining the bus/train system, etc. Our room had a bath tub, no shower; apparently some rooms have showers and no tubs. The sheer curtains in bathroom made us reluctant to turn on the light in there at night. Our room had no hair dryer. I don’t mind walking around in the summer with wet hair, but I wouldn’t want to do that in the winter! Great croissants at breakfast--best I had in France!
