Lost Horizon
The hotel has succeed in retaining the ideals of its mythical namesake.The garden is beautiful. The service is excellent.I felt so pampered. I am looking forward to my next stay.

A very nice property in a wonderful location
I had booked a regular non-smoking room but when they took me to the room it smelled the cigarette very badly. They quickly gave me another one which smelled some chemical products and could not stay there. That’s when they upgraded me to an room on the executive floor and that was extraordinary! Staff is outstanding throughout the hotel and the location is top but no way of knowing how my stay would have turned out had i not been upgraded!

Very nice
Very nice room, was in the Horizon Club section, breakfast was delicious every morning. Restaurants were all good except the Shanghai Palace.

Very nice hotel
The hotel was great. Very clean, beds are very comfortable. Gym is great especially for a hotel. The Shangri La is not in the center of town, it takes about 5-10 minutes to walk to the shopping area.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Be aware of the "hotel" limo service, the price is extremely expensive to the airport $150! I took a taxi back to the airport which cot $24!

Bouquets
Great service from the Rose Veranda staff as well as the room service. Great food and whatever I’ve asked for was done. The Club deal is the best I have ever had so far, really KUDOS! And thanks for all.
Traveler's tip on dining
Once in Singpore go to Clarke Quay for dinner and party all night long. Great Italian food at Via Veneto or Amalfi and amazing experience at Lotus Grill on the two boats arbored on the river. After that a good chill out place Attica with lots of good music and babes. Bye

Great hotel
I stayed at the horizon club with my wife and 4 year old son for 7 nights. The hotel was really luxurious and they provided great service. Club lounge was also a great experience. Our family really enjoyed champains and canape and some sandwiches at the club lounge. The butler at the club lounge was very polite and cheerful and respondent. The pool was another joyful experience and my son really liked the kid pool. Only one problem was the shower in my room. The amount of water was little bit small so that I and my wife have littel problem when we took a shower.

Total Heaven, dreams are made at places like this
From the front door to the cleaners everyone was totally friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Pool and whole setting was like something in a movie and was so releaxing. Any assistance with getting to meetings, places to visit , anything was handled quickly and efficiently.

The restaurant downstairs for breakfast will last until dinner. 10 Kitchens with food from all over the world.

Comfortable, nice for families, in a garden setting
I have stayed at a few hoels in Singapore, but would return next time to Shangri La for its comfort and space, garden setting, and proximity to Orchard Road action, while being in spacious grounds with a beautiful pool, tennis courts, and lots of gardens. Spa was great, not elaborate but treatments were top notch. Hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful and were so nice. Restaurants are numerous with good options, although a little pricey for the breakfast buffet, which is elaborate. Mainly Asian with a French option in food, restaurants were all good, and we did not go outside hotel for meals, as it was all under one roof. Lacked summer weight robes, and little details of this kind, and was a bit of a maze to navigate, as it is a large hotel, but liked it enough to make it my base in Singapore. Balconies are nice feature of the garden wing.

Hotel has a free shuttle bus service to Orchard Road shopping, which is walkable distance, but maybe not with packages.

Shangri La - What can you say
This Shangri La hotel was built in the early 1970s and the air conditioning could be updated, but the Hotel is up the Shangri La’s standards. We were in the Garden Wing with a balcony over the swimming pool. Wow! Pricy upgrade, but well worth it. The hotel is a little way away west of the downtown (very walkable, tho) and incredibly quiet.

We stayed in a Horizon Club room and for the extra money you get to live in luxury for a few days
Great location. Horizon club is great value for the extra money. Attitued of the staff is service oriented in a way you do not usually experience in international hotels. The facilities and the hotel itself is first class and extremely well maintained. You can not go wrong staying here.
Traveler's tip for business travelers
Breakfast and evening cocktails are includede in the tarrif for Horizon Club. I was able to check in at 9.00am which is a real bonus when you have just flown through the night.

Outstanding experience
We stayed in the Valley Wing and had an exceptionally good stay at this hotel. The room was not cheap but Shangri-La delivered the quality of service and value we were expecting. We would stay there again without a second thought if we could afford it again in the future.

Like Ikea without the frills
This very minimialist hotel combines good location and modern comfort into an acceptable package. It obviously caters to the business market, as opposed to families. We took our 6 year old and 13 motnhs old daughters here. While we loved the practically indestructable room (gotta love the inflatable lights!), we found that the service was slow (and I speak Italian and know the culture-it was slow) and not all that friendly. The staff adored our baby; she had the whole lobby wavaing at her and smilling at one point. But you feel out of place with kids here. The recently re-filled pool was freezing cold, even in the middle of the summer. But the food was nicely done. We loved the pool service! We had problems with the rooms. Part of the ceiling fell in in one of our rooms. The shower door would not shut in the other room. It’s close to Termini, so fantastic for access into the heart of the city as well as easy to get to from the airport. The rooftop bar will forever live in my memory as the most divine place to be in Rome in the summer. Worth staying just for the bar!
See if you can get one of the 14 disabled rooms. There is much more space, but you sacrifice a bathtub.

Fabulous hotel
Would highly recommend to anyone visiting SG - great hotel, great location, amazing service! And the breakfast buffett is out of this world.
