Fairfield Inn by Marriott Miami Airport West/Doral Area

Not a good stay...

Shuttle never showed up. I called three times to see if it was coming and each time I was told it would be there in just a few minutes. Over an hour later I paid for a cab. Found out the shuttle had broken down. Lobby area was alright, mostly clean. Room was like a truck stop motel of I-90 in Montana, just picture it if you have not had the pleasure. The best part was that this hotel really is just across from a truck stop. Great. Listening to those trucks and there back-up beepers ALL NIGHT. I slept maybe one hour.

We were told that walking to any of the local restaurants would be a risk. The neighborhood is not great.

The Hotel in The Airoporto Area

The hotel is Great. The price is a litlle expensive, but the breakfeast compensates. Is a realy good hotel. The staff is the best part of it. Always available to help.

Great value for the price

Clean room. The complementary breakfast was great since there was no good cafe nearby. Great value.

SO DIRTY!

That room was never cleaned!. Do not dare walking barefoot on that carpet or let your kids crawl or play there, please!. A previous guest left a shoe under the bed and it stayed there for as long as we stayed on the room.... On top of that the rooms are super small. They have very little staff so we had to carry to the 2nd floor and fold (on our own) a crib that we requested in advance, getting there at 2:00 a.m. with 2 kids sleeping on our arms plus luggage.That is not what I call great service. Never again. Pay a tiny bit more and you can do much better at the same area.

Nice place to stay

The hotel is nice if you just need a place to sleep close to Doral. Service was good. I recommend it.

ITS OK

The hotel is comfortable, but the noise of the airplanes is intense, because it does not have windows to resist the sound.

Comfort

Hotel was for my mother and other family members. The objective was central location for shopping and a good nights rest with the ease of reasonable dining in the vicinity. Hotel is good located for shopping and quick access to high way. Nice staff and clean and comfortable room. Refrigerator is a plus. The breakfast was adequate. Good price quality combination. The hotel premises are safe and that was very important for the choice of this hotel (experience from a previous stay). The safety of the hotel premises was acknowledged again this stay by my family.

we had an early morning flight and the hotel’s location was perfect. everything you would expect from a marriott fairfield inn.

Mix emotions about this place.

WiFi not working properly during my entire stay. Room had a musty smell. Staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel have a good location and nice and clean room

Disappointed

The hotel staff were polite and extremely helpful. Breakfast was good. However, the room itself was cramped and run-down. I would not choose to stay there again.

Nice Hotel

I liked, friendly Staff, clean rooms, Good value! I recommend.

Excellent for a stopover

Older hotel, but very well maintained and comfortable. Lobby staff very helpful. Superior breakfast buffet and staff. Right on landing path for MIA, so be ready for regular flights coming in. We stayed after returning from a cruise, and needed to check in early, and they made arrangements for us to do so.

Good price for what you get !

The room is complete with fridge, microwave (very useful additions considering I am not used to the size of American restaurants huge portions !) air conditioning (automatic shutdown of the fan, unlike some other hotels where the colling system shutdowns when temperature set is reached, BUT NOT THE FAN !!!) Breakfast is included and is very nice, waffles, eggs and a lot of other good stuff ! The proximity of the Freeway never disturbed me as long as I had the door closed. Instead, the Freeway comes handy when leaving for Downtown or any other place. Internet connection (wireless) is included, but is not the best. I recommend a call to the Internet provider in case is very slow, they will improve the speed quite a bit afterwards.

Lay over for cruise

Booked three rooms here as a lay over before heading out on a cruise with the family. Were very satisfied with the rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was sufficient, especially for the price (Free)!! Great value for the dollar. The outside doesn’t look like much but we enjoyed our overnight stay.

Had a good time in Miami. Hotel in good condition, nice breakfast, very nice hotel service. Would definitely go back.

Fairfield not fair to me

After arriving in Miami for an overnight layover from an international flight, I thought I’d have a chance to get some rest, maybe jump in the pool and chill out. Not happening. The pool was emptied for maintenance. A crew was using electric sanders to grind paint off the handrails on the second-floor corridors. What a loud and unwelcomed mess. Did I mention the room was super small and had a great view of an industrial park’s parking lot? The front desk wouldn’t let me cancel my room so I could move to another property owned by the same company. At least the airport shuttles were quick and efficient and the room was clean. This was not a relaxing stay.

the hotel is very nice, but they were cleaning the pool , so we went over to the marriott courtyard and had a good time, will stay there again

Confortable, clean, cheap, secure and friendly hotel

Confortable and friendly hotel at Doral Area, well ubicated, near the airport and business area. Friendly staff, clean, cheap and secure. We will get back in our next business or leisure trips to Miami. Breakfast was not our style, maybe could offer more fresh fruits, natural fruit juice instead of dispenser fruit juice, Fresh fruit in a bowl.

Go to Dolphin Mall. Don’t go to Mall of the Americas, it is odd. For lunch time, there is a good cuban restaurant at entrance No. 3 at Dolphin Mall, healthy meals are served.

Very capable and pleasant staff.

Enjoyed my stay. Everyone at the hotel was very pleasant. Not a special breakfast but good- except for the danish- terrible! The location is convenient to Doral and the airport but Miami is a VERY expensive cab ride away!

No place to eat

This was a very nice hotel. In all ways it measured up to the quality expected of a Fairfield. The only negative thing was how far we had to walk to find some place to eat. Thankfully they have a very nice continental breakfast.

Too noisy

The room is noisy all night due to road outside. Shuttle bus is late and no schedule in the early morning.
