After reading so many positive reviews my husband and I booked a weekend at the Wicker Guest House. We arrived to find the place to be very run down and outdated. The staff was not welcoming either. We arrived during a power outage and when I asked why we didnt have electricity in our room they looked at me as if I had two heads. A simple explanation and a "sorry for the inconvenience" would have been fine. The window AC unit was loud (when there was electricity), the bed comforter was old, and the bathrooms were dirty. Something you would expect from a Motel 8. Not quite the ambiance we were looking for. Needless to say we didnt stay the weekend. There are plenty of beautiful Inns and resorts for the same price in Key West.
