Staff is wonderful
The linens were a bit old and my towels had stains on them but was clean. However, the staff made up for everything lacking in this hotel. They were extremely helpful and nice to me. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Hanoi on a budget.

Hotel OK but many other options available in the same category
The hotel was good however, staying at the other side of the lake is preferable as the number of restaurants, shops and other services is greater. Breakfast buffet was only OK, staff was helpful but food items and salads plates were not refilled as these became empty. Staff in general was helpful, internet was free at the lobby. When enquired about the cost of a taxi from the hotel to the Fine Arts Museum (17 blocks away),the price was outreagous ($10), finished up walking to the museum. Room was small, beds were confortable, bathroom/shower were good but without A/C (very hot during the summer season). Overall good but many other better choices of hotels in the same category on the other side of Hokiem Lake.
