Not the greatest
What I liked was that the location was fine, the room was clean, and they had great waffles available at breakfast. What I didn’t like was, the gal at the counter was not very friendly. When we turned on the heat it had a bad smell (maybe because it hadn’t been used?) so we ended up having to leave it off. And, our area was newly remodeled so it was fine but my niece decided to join us last minute and had to get a room in the non-remodeled area which smelled pretty bad. She asked for a 2nd room which had the same problem so she ended up buying a few candles and air freshener to ward it off. Not a great experience overall.
We drove approx 1 hr to see the Garden of the Gods - the place that is scheduled to be on the next Illinois quarter. Amazing landscape and scenery!! It was a highlight of our trip and well worth the time to drive there.
