AWESOME
The Junior Villa was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was as good as my bed at home. The views were fabulous and the hammock provided a place to just take it all in. You could be as busy as you wanted to be. The staff arranged for sightseeing and even added the fees to our hotel bill without charging a fee to do that!!! They gave us rides into the Village or arranged for taxi for us. If you’re going to Placencia.....Laru Beya is where you will want to stay!!
Traveler's tip on nightlife
If you’re going for nightlife, go somewhere else....Placencia is a great quiet safe place to take a family. The Tipsy Tuna was fun.

LaruBeya
This hotel was extremely comfortable. The staff was very courteous, friendly and very accommodating. The hotel which sits right on the beach was very clean. The food at the restaurant was excellent. My only disappointment was - no telephone or television in the room - as it turned out we never missed it - overall - I would definitely go back to LaruBeya.

Beautiful
The location of this hotel in relationship to the beach is pure perfection. They have a wonderful pool twenty feet from the ocean and miniature golf. The rooms are very nice and super clean. The A/C is ice cold and the shower is piping hot. WiFi is available at the pool and in the hotel restaurant, public access computer is available in office 7:00am to 5:00pm.
Traveler's tip
Be prepared to travel a short distance to the village for restaurants and bars if you choose not to eat at the hotel (about 10 minutes, $10 USD taxi each way). Tours and dive operators typically include hotel transfers to and from area hotels so this helps limit local transportation costs.
