Great Place
A Hotel yes, but so much more. I NEVER had to leave the hotel grounds during my convention. They have it all, Hotel, Gas, Movie Theater, 24 hour store (like 7/11) 24 hour good resteraunt, good bar with Live Music that stays open till 2 am, Barber shop, gift shop,chriopractor,Medical clinic,and more.

Tons of things to do in P-Land. Rose Garden, one of the biggest book stores in the world, OMSI, beautiful views,trails, bicking, hicking,boating........etc

Outstanding stay...
We had an outstanding 7 day stay at the Portlander Inn. The room was clean, the staff very friendly and willing to help at the drop of a hat whether it was a hotel matter or a question about restaurants or places to see in the area. It has all the conveniences, no excessive noise, great food and entertainment... The only drawback was in location. It’s not the easiest place to find or get back to when you travel out of the area on sightseeing. But once you find the the best way to find the street again,the problem is solved for the rest of your stay. We highly recommend the Portlander Inn and will stay there the next time we visit the area.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Take a day to drive out to Cannon Beach and on the way stop at Camp 18 - an old logging camp with the best restaurant, with great prices and amazing log statues and antique logging machinery on site.
