Convenient location, but the room could use some improvements
Good: - Not far off the highway, and easy access to downtown locations - Historic place - Front desk was friendly - Valet people were courteous Bad: - Bathroom was not very clean and water damage spots at places - Fifteen dollars to park each night (street parking free on nights/weekends, although I didn’t see much available during my weekend stay) - They shampooed our carpets one day into our two-night stay, so we were walking on damp carpets for the rest of the time.

Great weekend getaway!
Beautifully appointed room at a great price. The bed was so comfortable, the room was gorgeous and it was convenient to everything. We will be planning a return visit very soon!
Traveler's tip on dining
On the North Shore there is a fabulous tapas restaurant, Terra Nostra, which you have to check out. Delicious tapas and desserts.

Would expect this if it were a Holiday Inn...
Upon arrval all seemed to be well. However the ATM in the lobby was broken for days forcing people outside (on the property)to get cash. Where the several local vagrants were camped out begging and approaching guests for money. We went to dinner and drinks. We came back around 11:30 when I tried to find a hotel service employe to mention my distress about the vagrants, and waited at the check-in desk for 25 minutes and no one was there. The only employee around was the valet and he was busy playing games on his laptop in the corner. Being one of Sheraton’s "Gold" members we set a 5:00 pm check out time the next day. Starting at 7:30 am with a sign hanging on the door gest services start tapping on the door to clen the room. What has happend to the high standard of Quality this hotel used to support?
If I was travelling with my family I would be concerned for their safety. Their seems to be a lack of security here.
