Poor customer service
The grounds of this hotel are beautiful but the location is not good, it is too far away from everything. Customer service could be better and the room did not have a chair or table so it was not very comfortable if you wanted to sit and read or have coffee, had to use the bed. The internet service was poor so most times we had to visit an internet cafe to use our e-mail, they also were not able to provide a working transformer so we could charge the battery on our laptop. The staff is friendly and we did have a very good tour of the city also the restaurant staff was nice but many times the order was messed up possibly due to the language barrier.

nice pool
The hotel was nice and the pool but it was not nice if you went into cebu. It took a long time to get over the bridge.

Cebu Resort
Was a very nice Hotel The help was friendly, and always a smile and there to take care of your needs. It’s a good distance from the City, but a very nice place to get away and relay. The rooms are clean, the beds were comfortable and the pool was refreshing. Very good for the money spent.
Don’ miss you flight. Ha!

Stay
Hotel/resort too far from Cebu City. Nothing to do here. Very hot. More for locals and conferences. Checked out 4 days early and lost my rest of paid up stay. But could not stay here more than 2 nights. Beds are foam and although clean, food service very limited. Not for foreign visitor. Not stay here again.

Okay for families, but no fun if you are looking excitement
The staff were great, expecially the waitress in the dining room. But was very boring there, nothing to do and far out from anything. Would be a great place if you wanted to just totally relax, but I enjoy staying places where there is excitement and much to do.
Great place if you want to relax and get away from all the noise.

Are You Looking for More than the usual Hotel Stay?
The ALTA Cebu Village Garden Resort is not the usual hotel. If you are looking for a place to stay that is more than a room in a building with a nice lobby and a place to eat, try the ALTA. Every aspect of the property has well thought out details and is visually very appealing. The term hotel does not fit. This place, to me, is a mix of a bed and breakfast and boutique hotel. The hotel is surrounded by a well thought out garden, the owners live on the grounds. The place has such a relaxing atmosphere and is so pleasant, it is a pleasure to spend time chatting with the owner, other guests as if this were a family gathering. The pool area, like the rest of the place, is very attractive. Instead of being in a vertical building of concrete, this hotel is woven into a meandering garden with paths giving a feeling of spaciousness. You can enjoy being outside in the canopy of greenery with the smells of earth and garden and softened sunlight. I enjoyed the staff and the tour they gave, the owners and other guests. Everyone was in a good mood in this setting... The food and drink is quite nice. The location is near to but just far enough from the CEB Airport so that you can see the planes pass by but not be bothered by the noise.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The staff gave me some suggestions to enjoy the local area such as a boat ride or a driving tour and so on. They are interested in making the stay a nice memory.
